Anti-Bullying
At St. Stephen's we are committed to providing a warm, caring and safe environment for all of our children, so that they can learn and play in a relaxed and secure environment.
Children are taught about acceptable behaviour at school and about behaviour that is not acceptable in order to ensure that our environment is positive and safe for learning. Children are taught the difference between 'rude' and 'mean' behaviour and the repetitious nature of bullying. We are a TELLING school: this means that anyone who knows that bullying is happening is expected to tell a member of staff.
Bullying of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our school. We take all incidents of bullying seriously. If bullying does occur, everyone should be able to report it and know that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively in accordance with our anti-bullying policy.
If, as a parent, you are worried about your child being bullied or displaying bullying behaviour, we want you to talk to the class teacher or a member of the Senior Leadership Team to enable incidents to be dealt with promptly and appropriately. Have a look at the Pathways for help below.
